Death of Lincoln

The year is 1865.  The Confederacy of the United States, suffering loss after loss to Union forces, is on the brink of total capitulation. Famous actor John Wilkes Booth heads a conspiracy to turn the tide of war back in favor of Dixieland. He, along with his fellow co-conspirators, planned to decapitate the Federal Government by assassinating Secretary of State William H. Steward, the Vice President Andrew Johnson, and the recently reelected President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln.

Although the only successful assassin was Booth himself, the damage he caused was incalculable. History remembers him as the first man to assassinate a U.S. President.
